Volunteer Board Member

Position Overview:

We are seeking passionate, committed, and skilled individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a volunteer board member, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring we fulfill our mission.

Responsibilities:

• • Governance and Oversight:
  • Participate in quarterly board meetings and special meetings as needed.
  • Ensure the organization adheres to its mission, vision, and values.
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Collaborate with fellow board members and the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to support organizational growth and program development.
  • Advocacy and Fundraising:
  • Actively promote the organization’s mission within your network and community.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts, including securing donations, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Participate in events and campaigns to raise awareness and support for the organization.
  • Committee Involvement:
  • Serve on at least one board committee (e.g., fundraising, governance, programs).
  • Contribute to specific projects or initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

• • A commitment to the mission and vision of Project Jeremiah 29:11.
  • Prior experience in nonprofit work, fundraising, or governance is a plus but not required.
  • Skills in one or more of the following areas: finance, law, marketing, public relations, fundraising, program development, or nonprofit leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to dedicate time and energy to attend meetings, events, and organizational initiatives.
  • Must commit to 1 year of service
