    Impact Uncovered: Lives Saved Lead!

Help us document and celebrate lives saved through the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign! As a Lives Saved Lead, you'll play a critical role in recognizing the impact of our preparedness efforts by verifying cases where smoke alarms or preparedness education helped clients escape a home fire. Documenting these stories helps raise awareness, gain support, and ultimately save more lives.

    Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate with the National Community Preparedness & Resilience Services team to identify and cross-reference cases of documented home fires with addresses where the Red Cross previously installed smoke alarms or provided preparedness education.
      • Verify details of each case to confirm if Red Cross interventions helped individuals escape safely.
      • Accurately document cases of lives saved for potential recognition by our Communications team.

    Location & Time Commitment:

This role is flexible and can be performed remotely. Time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per month, with the potential for additional hours depending on case volume.

Ready to make a difference? Here's how to get started!

      1. Go to redcross.org/volunteer to complete our online application. It takes less than 10 minutes!
      2. Once your application and background check are complete, a member of our team will reach out for a quick screening call. This allows us to make sure this position is the perfect fit for your interest, availability, and needs.
      3. We’ll get you connected and provide all necessary training to ensure you feel supported and successful as a volunteer.
