Food Pantry Volunteer

The Ashure Ministry Food Pantry serves over 250 households a day. We are constantly working on putting food carts together, serving clients, bagging or boxing food for distribution, and much more. This is a fast-paced, fun, working environment with multiple ways in which one can serve and contribute to the efforts of our Ministry. We have jobs that suit about everyone and every ability. There are door workers who serve the clients. Cart makers that build carts to be distributed. Produce baggers who make the bags of produce for distribution. Data Entry volunteers who input client data into our record system. Egg checkers who check eggs for distribution according in NCDA standards. Grocery Drivers who pick up food donations from local stores. And General Pantry Volunteers who bag or box food for distribution as well as dozens of other tasks.

Our Food Pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 8 to 4:30. We do not have any shifts or schedules for volunteers. You can come when you'd like and stay however long you want. If you only want to volunteer an hour, that's great. If you want to stay all day, that's even better!
