    Descripción

    Marketing/Communication Team Member

    Background

Kol Zimrah Jewish Community Singers is a Chicago-area based Jewish community volunteer choir. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we were founded in 1996 by Cantor Richard Cohn. We have performed across the Chicago area—at the Lyric Opera, Millenium Park (the Bean), in Symphony Center, in synagogues, and beyond—as well as in Paris, Berlin, and Toronto. We performed online during the pandemic and grew our fan base during that time.

Now we want to position ourselves for the future. To do that, we must expand our presence, grow the choir, and enhance our overall financial health. We have a marketing/communication strategy, but we have neither the bandwidth to do the work ourselves nor the finances to hire a marketing/communication professional. We are so excited at the prospect of mentoring an a team member to help us achieve our goals. This position is perfect for a student in or a retiree from the marketing/communications space.

    Job Requirements:

    Excellent writing skills

Journalism and/or PR training/experience with different media

Familiarity with/interest in Jewish choral music

    Good team player

    Availability to attend concerts

    Benefits for You:

Remote position (concert attendance encouraged); Chicago area preferred

Opportunity to be mentored by a 30-year marketing/communication professional

Chance to work in a variety of marketing/communication media (newsletters, website, social media,

    digital/print flyers, e-blasts)

Flexible work schedule, estimated 5-8 hours a week at your convenience

    College credit potentially available

Potential to extend beyond the school year (if you want)
