Torus offers free drop-in English classes for adult learners of English at sites across the Portland metro area. Our classes are high energy and multi-level. We often have students from five or six different language backgrounds in a given class. As a teacher, our classes are challenging, rewarding, and a lot of fun.
You don’t need any background as an ESOL teacher to join our team. Torus offers a comprehensive training for aspiring teachers. But we also need volunteers to help our classes run smoothly.

Note: this listing is for our Winter/Spring 2025 classes at the Holgate branch of the Multnomah County Library, which meets Tuesday evenings from 6-7:30 p.m. from January 21 to March 25, 2025. We teach at other locations as well - check our website for the current line-up.
