    About Project Tell-Tale:

    Through Project Tell-Tale, team Imaara aspires to anonymously document and share courageous, inspiring, and moving tales of survivors of gender-based violence and bystanders based in India.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Outreach & Engagement:
      • Identify and connect with GBV survivors or bystanders willing to share their stories anonymously.
      • Build trust with potential storytellers, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable.
      • Network with online and offline NGOs, support groups, networking sites, and communities to find individuals who may want to share their experiences.
    2. Story Collection & Documentation:
      • Conduct confidential and trauma-sensitive interviews (either for blogs or podcasts).
      • Assist storytellers in structuring and narrating their experiences in a way that aligns with their comfort levels.
      • Record and edit podcast interviews or transcribe stories into compelling blog content.
    3. Ethical & Trauma-Informed Approach:
      • Ensure all storytelling is survivor-led and done with full informed consent.
      • Maintain strict confidentiality and respect the wishes of survivors and bystanders regarding how their stories are shared.
      • Handle sensitive information with care, following ethical documentation practices.
    4. Collaboration & Coordination:
      • Work closely with the Imaara Survivor Support Foundation team to align stories with project goals.
      • Coordinate with writers, editors, podcast producers, and social media teams.
      • Assist in reviewing and finalizing content before publication.
    5. Awareness & Advocacy:
      • Support the promotion of Project Tell-Tale by spreading awareness about its mission.
      • Encourage more individuals to share their experiences by highlighting the impact of storytelling in breaking the silence around GBV.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Empathy & Active Listening: Ability to listen deeply and hold space for survivors without judgment.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication in English and/or local Indian languages.
    • Interviewing & Storytelling: Experience in conducting interviews, writing blogs, or hosting podcasts is a plus.
    • Trauma Sensitivity & Ethics: Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and survivor-centric communication.
    • Networking & Outreach: Ability to engage with survivor support organizations, communities, and individuals.
    • Confidentiality & Discretion: Commitment to maintaining the privacy and dignity of survivors and bystanders.
    • Basic Technical Skills: Familiarity with recording/editing tools (for podcasts) or writing/editing blogs.
    • Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work closely with others to ensure high-quality storytelling.

    Compensation:

    If you submit a total of five podcasts or blog posts and complete the final edits for each, you will receive a completion certificate and a Letter of Recommendation (LOR). Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be featured on our website as a contributor.
