    Volunteer Board Member (Finance/Business Focus)

    Location: Los Angeles, CA

    Commitment: 3-5 hours per month

    FEAST is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing community health through nutrition education, food access, and emotional support. Our mission is to foster lasting well-being and health equity.

    Position Overview

    FEAST seeks a board member with expertise in finance or business to support the organization’s financial planning, management, and strategies. This role offers a pathway to serving as Board Treasurer following a six-month onboarding period.

    Responsibilities

    • Attend quarterly board meetings.
    • Provide strategic financial guidance and oversight.
    • Assist in budget planning and long-term financial strategy.
    • Ensure best practices in financial management and compliance.
    • Meet an annual $5,000 give-get commitment.
    • Participate in board activities for 3-5 hours per month.

    Ideal Candidate

    • Professional background in finance, accounting, or business management.
    • Experience with nonprofit financial oversight is a plus.
    • Interest in stepping into the Treasurer role after onboarding.
    • Passionate about advancing community health and food justice.
