Purpose:
To serve as a friend/companion to patients, loved ones or caregivers with emotional, social, and other needs assigned.
Essential Duties:
- Provide emotional support for the patients and their loved ones.
- Documentation accurately and timely.
- Participate in trainings.
- Professionalism at visitations.
- Provide companionship to patients.
- Read, board games, bookclubs, or activities with patients.
- Commit 1 hour per week.
- Maintain open communication with other team members and volunteer coordinator.
- Compete a TB test (Stillwater provides a free one for those who complete training and need it)
