As a volunteer for the Workforce Development Program at Sunshine Health, you will play a vital role in helping participants navigate job opportunities and utilize the GigPro app effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming Participants:
- Greet attendees as they arrive and provide them with information about the program.
- Ensure they feel comfortable and engaged from the start.
Assisting with Registration:
- Help participants sign in and distribute any necessary materials or resources.
- Collect feedback forms at the end of the session.
Facilitating Workshops:
- Assist the facilitator in presenting information about the GigPro app.
- Help demonstrate how to download and navigate the app on participants' devices.
Providing One-on-One Support:
- Offer individualized assistance to participants who may have questions or need help using the app.
- Provide guidance on creating profiles and applying for jobs through the app.
- Important Note: There will be Haitian participants, so patience is key when assisting them, as some may have language barriers or varying levels of technological proficiency.
Managing Group Activities:
- Help organize and manage group discussions or activities related to job searching and networking.
- Encourage participation and facilitate discussions among attendees.
Promoting a Positive Environment:
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.
- Assist in resolving any issues or concerns that may arise during the sessions.
Time Commitment:
- Volunteers are expected to commit to the entire duration of the sessions (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) on the specified dates.
