Board Secretary

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for the role of Board Secretary at Front Range Food Pantry. The Board Secretary plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate records, facilitating effective communication among board members, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Record Keeping:

- Accurately record minutes during board meetings and distribute them in a timely manner.

- Maintain an organized electronic or physical filing system for all official contracts, documents, and records.

- Ensure that all meeting roll calls are accurately recorded.

2. Communication Management:

- Maintain an up-to-date contact list for the board members, including their addresses, emails, phone numbers, etc.

- Assist in distributing official communications from the board chair or executive director as needed.

- Coordinate with other team members to publish notices of scheduled meetings according to bylaws or legal requirements.

3. Compliance:

 - Monitor term limits for each board member and assist with tracking reappointment or replacement processes as necessary.

 - Collaborate with the Executive Director/CEO on regulatory compliance matters related to governance such as annual filings etc.

 - Work closely with other officers/board members on updating bylaws when needed

Qualifications:

1. Strong organizational skills along detail-oriented mindset

2.Excellent written communication skills; ability take accurate minutes during meetings

3.Previous experience serving as a secretary or similar administrative role preferred but not mandatory 

4.Proficient computer skills including MS Office suite 

5.Ability work independently while being an effective team player
