Board Member

The Plan B Foundation is looking for additional board members to join the team. The Plan B Foundation is an established nonprofit organization with an amazing board that we are looking to expand.

The Plan B Foundation’s mission is to break the cycle of unemployment for formerly incarcerated individuals by providing full-time employment and programs to transform their lives. Each participant that comes to work with The Plan B Foundation goes through our Back-to-Basics program which is designed to help our participants to learn the skills to retain and sustain full-time employment.

The position of board member is to help identify, support and advise the Plan B Foundation’s fundraising strategy and organizational strategy, as well as serve as the lead volunteer ambassador for the board and the community by supporting the mission objectives of The Plan B Foundation. We are looking for someone who demonstrates commitment to the values and mission of The Plan B Foundation. We are looking for a corporate executive and/or community leader who has the ability and willingness to reach out to personal and professional networks, and corporate community on behalf of the The Plan B Foundation. There will be four virtual quarterly board meetings that each board member should attend and participate in with the purpose of helping The Plan B Foundation reach their annual fundraising goals.

Currently The Plan B Foundation has a solid relationship with a program in DuPage County called Worknet DuPage where we are able to work with participants and have fantastic resources for training and getting them employed. We are looking to expand our board to help in a variety of ways. It would be preferable if you lived or were connected to the Chicagoland area.
