Mosqoy Peruvian Textiles Liaison

Mosqoy is seeking a volunteer to support our Mosqoy Peruvian Textiles Program (MPT) for the next 6-12 months. We are seeking an individual who is an excellent communicator – both speaking and in writing – to be able to communicate our mission and support customer service of fair-trade Peruvian textiles in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Position details:

• Supervisor: Cusi Saco Chung
• 2-4 hours per week, some weekends if there are fairs
• Start date: Until filled
• Minimum commitment: 6 months, preferable 12 months.
• Location: 1004 North Park Street, Victoria, BC

Duties include:

(1) Support Etsy sales and & customer service

• 1-3 hours per week, more hours some weekends if there are fairs/events.
• Check twice a week if there are messages from customers and reply to them.
• Check twice a week if there are new orders in our Esty shop.
• When there are Etsy orders, prepare and ship items to customers
• Find events to sell texiles and register for a booth. Find other volunteers to help at the booths.
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Minimum commitment: 6 months, preferable 12 months.
• Location: 1004 North Park Street, Victoria, BC, Canada
• Conduct a textile inventory check quarterly

(2) Represent Mosqoy and Mosqoy products at textile fairs and community events in Victoria, BC

• Attend and table at Victoria, BC textile fairs. Fairs are usually held from August to November.
• Support pre- and post-event, such as inventory, price tags, social media advertisements, etc.
• Support volunteer recruitment in Victoria, BC to build volunteer-base for textile fairs
