Events Operations

Lavanda is an LGBT+ Music and Arts organization bringing together Boston's Queer community events. 

We are very heavily focused on community, connection, diversity, and inclusion. We want to get as many queer folk involved as possible! We believe that the best work comes from connecting and learning from one another. Every member brings a different and valuable perspective to our team, and we're always looking for additons to our team. 

Please note that all positions are volunteer only. We are a new grassroots organization with a very limited budget and are looking for folks who want to join us out of the love of our community, to gain experience, and put on your resume.  

All Positions are Hybrid and most tasks can be done virtually. - You do not have to be in Boston to apply 

Description:

The events operations department is seperated into two teams: Artists and Vendors. These teams will do the same jobs but focus on either artists or vendors.

Lavanda organizes monthly community events, with a concert each quarter (total of 4), as well as our annual music and arts festival Camp Fest. As a member of the events operations team you will:

• Come up with ideas and themes for the events and concerts
• Create lineups of vendors or artists that: flows well, is diverse, and fits the theme, venue, and/or event.
• Collect and communicate artists or vendor equipment and gear needs
• be the point of contact for the artists or vendors day of
• collect and communicate bios, pictures, etc

Ideal Candidate:

If you are qualified in any of these areas or fit any part of this description you might be a good fit! We do not expect one person to do all of this. We are building a team of people to work together.

• Queer/LGBTQIA+, passionate about the community, and or ally
• Passionate, knowledgeable, and/or curious about sober community spaces
• experience in any of the areas listed above
• College student or recent graduate
