Volunteer Teaching Assistants

Give and Surf depends on dedicated volunteers on a year-round basis to provide educational programs to the local indigenous communities of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Volunteers will help with our preschool and/or after-school programs for 4 hours each day, Monday to Friday, and then have the other half of the day and weekends free to explore the beautiful Bocas islands.

This is a great way to get hands-on experience with a small nonprofit, give back to the local communities, be immersed in a different culture, and of course, have fun!!! No previous teaching experience required... just a love for kids and a willingness to learn. Some Spanish is helpful but not required.

There is a monthly fee of $2000 to volunteer which covers your accommodations, some meals, local transportation, some excursions/activities, pre-trip planning, and staff support. We can also arrange group service trips with special itineraries and service projects.
