Health Education Workshop Facilitator

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable healthcare professional to volunteer as a Health Education Workshop Facilitator for our senior community wellness initiative. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact by empowering residents with information that supports healthy living.

Role Overview:

The selected volunteer will lead one health education workshop per month over a six-month period. Each session will cover essential topics related to preventive care, chronic disease management, nutrition, mental health, and other wellness-focused areas relevant to our residents’ needs.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate engaging, accessible 45-60 minute workshops
• Present health topics in a way that is clear, interactive, and culturally sensitive
• Answer general health-related questions and provide practical guidance
• Collaborate with our team to ensure topics align with community interests
• Provide any handouts or visuals to support learning (optional)

Ideal Volunteer:

• A licensed or certified healthcare professional (e.g. nurse, health educator, dietitian, physician assistant, etc.)
• Passionate about community health and wellness
• Comfortable speaking to small groups and facilitating discussions
• Reliable and able to commit to a 6-month schedule (1 workshop/month)
