Volunteer Dermatologists

Arlington Free Clinic relies upon professional medical volunteers to provide free and quality care to uninsured resident adults of Arlington, VA. We need Primary Care and Specialist providers for patient appointments. Generally, available shifts are Monday-Thursday 1pm-3:30pm and Tuesday-Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm. Almost all shifts are in-person/onsite, but some telehealth opportunities are still available depending on circumstances.

Most volunteers work once or twice per month for three hours per shift and we require a eight-month or more commitment. Volunteers are required to do phone interviews with several decision-making staff and must pass a reference/license check.

Providers must be licensed to practice in Virginia and be in good standing in their affiliated hospital. We register all licensed medical professionals with the Virginia Department of Risk Management which provides risk coverage for those working as volunteers in free clinics.
