The training will cover basic financial principles, budgeting, and nonprofit financial management. All costs associated with the training will be covered by the organization. As a Treasurer, you will play a crucial role in managing our organization's finances. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget, providing financial reports to the board regularly.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including receipts, invoices, and bank statements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports during board meetings, summarizing the organization's financial status.
Banking: Manage the organization's bank accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations.
Grants and Funding: Work closely with the fundraising team to track grants, donations, and funding sources.
Requirements:
Previous experience in financial management is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week.
Proficiency in financial software/tools (training will be provided).
