About TechStep Foundation

TechStep Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals—high school seniors, college students, career changers, refugees, and immigrants—by providing hands-on IT training and mentorship. Our mission is to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, helping participants gain job-ready skills and succeed in the tech industry.

We are looking for passionate and driven volunteers to join our mission and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals striving to build a future in technology.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities

As a volunteer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our programs and participants. Key responsibilities include:

• Event Support: Assist in planning and hosting virtual or in-person training events.
• Outreach and Engagement: Help connect with communities, students, and professionals to expand our impact.
• Administrative Assistance: Provide support for program logistics, scheduling, and communication.
• Participant Support: Help program participants stay engaged and succeed in their learning journey.

Ideal Volunteers

We’re looking for individuals who are:

• Passionate about education, technology, and community impact.
• Organized, dependable, and able to work collaboratively.
• Comfortable with remote tools like Zoom, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Available to commit 5–10 hours per week, depending on their role.
