Board Secretary

The Comfort Home Place serves, houses, and empowers individuals who have experienced domestic violence. We are looking for a volunteer to operate on our board of directors as our Secretary. This volunteer position will only require about 5 hours of your time per week. You would be completing the following tasks.

• Maintain accurate records of board meetings, including minutes, policies, and bylaws.
• Manage official correspondence for the board.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting requirements.
• Work with the Board Chair and Vice Chair to distribute meeting agendas and materials.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in administrative or clerical roles, particularly in nonprofit settings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with governance and record-keeping best practices.

While this position is currently a volunteer role requiring minimal time input, we will be looking to expand board roles into full-time, paid positions in the future.
