YMCA Reads! is a reading tutoring and mentoring program for k-4th grade students at two north Lakeland elementary schools. YMCA Reads! strives to help students build core reading skills along with reading self-confidence, as well as learn that reading can be FUN! YMCA Reads provides one during-school program, and one after-school program, and both are Monday through Thursday. Volunteers may be 14 y. and above, are required to complete an in-person application, and background screening (no-charge). Schedules are flexible!
