About Mission Kharkiv:

Mission Kharkiv is a humanitarian organization dedicated to providing life-saving medical care and mental health support to vulnerable populations affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Our work focuses on ensuring access to cancer treatments, essential medications, and psychological assistance for women, children, and the elderly in high-risk areas. We aim to inspire hope, resilience, and solidarity through storytelling that highlights the courage and strength of those we serve.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate Volunteer Photographer and Storyteller to help us document the stories of 25 cancer patients in Kharkiv. Your role will involve conducting short interviews with patients and capturing their portraits in a respectful and professional manner. These stories and photographs will be used to amplify Mission Kharkiv’s voice on social media and in donor outreach, inspiring others to support our cause.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and document 25 patient interviews, gathering their personal stories with empathy and care.
• Capture high-quality, professional portraits of patients for use in social media and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with Mission Kharkiv’s team to ensure that all stories and visuals align with our mission and values.
• Edit and prepare selected photographs for publication.

Qualifications:

• Experience in photography, particularly portrait photography.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact sensitively with patients.
• A passion for humanitarian work and amplifying marginalized voices.
• Access to professional photography equipment.
