Great Rivers is a nonprofit environmental law organization currently made up of four attorneys, one support staff, a development director and numerous interns and volunteers. We work to advance environmental justice, protect public health; preserve parks and wilderness, protect and preserve our waters, advance clean energy; and combat climate change. We partner with groups, individuals and communities to engage the critical environmental issues of our time, and to bring about positive change. We are here because the environment can’t fight for itself. To achieve our objectives we employ litigation, administrative and legislative advocacy, and collaboration and strategy to achieve environmentally conscious outcomes, and public awareness advocacy of important environmental, natural resource and social justice issues.
