Unity Hospice was founded in 1992 by a successful businessman who wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. His mission was to bring premier hospice care to those in need, and to help patients and their loved ones make the final months, weeks and days comfortable and meaningful. That heart & soul flows through our family-owned and operated agency to this very day. We have a non-profit foundation that we use to help provide patients with unique experiences if they are able to be transported safely, it also helps patients families who need help covering the cost of a funeral.
    1. All we do is end-of-life care

Many other hospices are part of a health system, hospital, nursing home chain, or home health agency. We are not. Hospice and palliative care is all we do—all day, every day. End-of-life care is our specialty.

    2. We’ve been doing this for 30 years

We’re not new to this. We have cared for 30,000 patients over the years. We have the broad experience, know-how, and resources to provide care even in the most complex situations. We are the end-of-life experts.

    3. We’re family-owned and operated

Some hospices are traded on the stock market. We put people before profit. We were started 30 years ago with a mission. That care, compassion, and heart & soul is at our core, and it permeates every conversation and interaction to this very day.

    4. We are quick, responsive, and communicative

We know that time is of the essence. We typically admit patients within 24 hours. You can call us anytime; we’re here for you 24/7. We communicate regularly to keep everyone updated and in-the-know.

    5. We offer many extras

Many hospices only do the basics. We go the extra mile and offer (based on availability) an array of life enrichment programs, including Live Music & Song, Music & Memory, Paws for Patients, Hospice for Heroes, Just Ask, and more!

    6. We provide our own medical equipment

Unlike most hospices, we don’t use third party equipment companies. Our equipment is delivered promptly by our in-house professionals, who take the time to explain how everything works. You’re never left without clear guidance and support.

    7. Amazing and devoted staff

As a recognized Top Workplace, our staff love what they do and truly care about their patients. Premier end-of-life care isn’t just medication and equipment, but the overall experience. Our staff undergo rigorous training in the Unity Hospice Professional Standards to ensure the care you receive is exceptional.
