Highlands Historical Society

In 1975, The Highlands Historical Society, a non-profit organization formed to preserve, restore, and interpret the historic mansion and grounds from 1794 to the present. The Highlands Historical Society exists to educate our community about the history and evolution of a Pennsylvania country estate by utilizing comprehensive period documents detailing estate life from the 18^th through the 20^th century. To serve its mission within the community, it obtains funding solely through membership, donations, grants, and event revenue.
