Marin Municipal Water District

The Mt. Tamalpais Watershed is part of the Golden Gate Biosphere Reserve, an internationally recognized biodiversity "hot spot." The watershed is home to over 900 species of plants and 400 species of animals, including 77 rare, threatened and endangered species. It also provides a place for people to connect with nature.

Volunteers play a critical role in maintaining the scenic beauty and biological richness of the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed. From improving trails, restoring habitat, and protecting threatened animals, MMWD has a variety of volunteer opportunities available to match your skills, interests, and available time.
