OUR PROGRAMS
Education and Public Awareness
At The Network, we strengthen the community’s response to gender-based violence by providing state-of-the-art training to community members as well as domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and sexual violence advocates and social service providers. We build skills so our community can better serve families experiencing gender-based violence, advocate on behalf of those impacted by violence, and prevent future violence. In over 20 years, The Network has educated nearly 25,000 advocates and social services providers. These advocates, in turn, provide services to even more survivors, their families, and those who have harmed.
Public Policy & Advocacy
The Network is the leading systemic advocacy voice on behalf of victims, survivors, and service providers within the Chicago metropolitan area. The Network is committed to developing evidence-based services and advocating for policies informed by the unique social and cultural dynamics that victims and survivors face.
Through the strength, knowledge, and first-hand experiences of The Network’s membership, we amplify voices and build an advocacy agenda that best meets the needs of victims and survivors in the Chicago area.
Crisis Response
The Illinois Statewide Domestic Violence Hotline supports victims and survivors in need, as well as their family members and those who have harmed. Services are available 24/7 in over 240 languages, and via text message. We connect callers with direct service providers who can meet callers’ needs.
