The ICCT is looking for an intern to join our Beijing office, supporting the transition of the transport sector to zero-emission technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit sector. This position is based in our Beijing office and reports to our China Heavy-Duty Vehicle Program staff.

You Will:

• Contribute to research projects that analyze and communicate the status of environmental transportation policies adopted in China.
• Support statistical analysis under the guidance of ICCT's research staff.
• Assist with report translation and drafting outreach materials.
• Complete ad-hoc tasks as needed.

You Have:

• Enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate program or the 1st year of a graduate program in automobile engineering, environmental sciences, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of automobile technology and experience in relevant projects (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with databases using statistical languages/software such as R, Python, and Tableau (proficiency in R is a plus).
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
• Availability to work 3-5 days per week (ideally at least 30 hours per week) for a duration of 6-12 months.

Our Benefits

The internship is based in our Beijing office and will have a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The ICCT will provide a laptop and other office equipment as needed. This internship offers a salary of ¥3,200 per month (96 hours per month), or an amount proportional to the workload allowed by your university.
