Reporting Relationship: The Program Coordinator reports to the Chief Operations Officer (“COO”).
The Program Coordinator is expected to engage with AAPCI’s leadership (Executive Team) and AAPCI’s external advisors/consultants in connection with various aspects of the domestic violence shelter programs and the social service programs within AAPCI’s supportive housing portfolio.
Oversight Responsibilities:
Oversee African American Planning Commission Inc.’s (AAPCI) domestic violence shelters and the social services programs within AAPCI’s supportive housing portfolio.
Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator, with latitude for independent judgement, is responsible for managing a comprehensive program of social services aimed at homeless survivors of domestic violence and their families, and tenants residing within AAPCI’s supportive housing programs. The Program Coordinator has oversight of Program Directors and other support staff within their assigned portfolio.
The Program Coordinator must have a thorough understanding of HRA’s domestic violence shelter system, an understanding of the provision of social support services in permanent supportive housing, be able to demonstrate shelter and supportive housing program management competency, and present experience in the administration and supervision of staff in a homeless shelter and supportive housing setting.

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of New York State and City pay transparency laws. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individuals’ competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.
Compensation:
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $110,000.00 to $120,000.00.
