    Position: Director of Development

    Reports to: CEO

    About the Position:

    As the Director of Development at WREN (Women's Rights and Empowerment Network), you will play a key role on the leadership team as we work to achieve WREN's vision to liberate women and girls in the State of South Carolina.

    This role is essential to growing and maintaining the organization's financial sustainability while fostering meaningful relationships with key donors, partners, and stakeholders. You will work closely with the CEO, board of directors, and development team members to ensure the successful execution of revenue strategies that align with WREN’s strategic priorities.

    This is a full-time, exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package and an annual salary of $85,000.

    About the Ideal Candidate:

    • You have a proven track record of successfully cultivating and securing gifts at both the annual and major gift level, and at least 7 years of experience in direct fundraising. (*CFRE certification preferred, but not required).
    • You are experienced in creating individual donor growth and stewardship plans and are familiar with the use of common CRMs (Raiser’s Edge/Bloomerang, etc.) for portfolio management and prospecting. You also have:
    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the year, across South Carolina, to engage with potential partners and donors. Valid driver’s license required.
    • Experience in cultivating and expanding partnerships in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire trust and collaboration among donors, staff, and board members.
    • Excellent writing, communication, and public relations skills, with an understanding of social media and digital campaigns.
    • Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Proven success in building and leading teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    • MEDICAL, DENTAL & VISION: WREN covers 100% of the employee’s premium and 50% of family coverage
    • PAID TIME OFF & HOLIDAY PAY: 10 days for years 1-4 of employment, 15 days for 5+ years of employment, 8 holidays
    • PAID SICK LEAVE: 12 days in one year for employee or caring for family member.
    • DEPENDENT CARE & FSA PLANS: Pay dependent care and medical costs with pre-tax dollars
    • 401K PLAN: Eligible after 1 year of employment with 5% employer match
    • PAID PARENTAL LEAVE: Up to 12 Weeks at 100% pay for birth or adoption of child
    • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Annual allowance for each staff member
