Mission Statement

Our Friends Place (OFP) is dedicated to helping young women break the generational cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness through empowering self-reliance and independence. Position Summary

The Development Coordinator, Donor Relations, manages and supports many of the activities of the Development Department and is responsible for donor database management, direct mail solicitations, and annual giving campaign support to facilitate increased donor engagement. The position reports to the CEO and executes an agreed-upon stewardship plan for all annual giving programs in line with the agency’s overall donor engagement strategy.

The Development Coordinator, Donor Relations, is accountable for an annually increasing revenue goal of $100K, while enthusiastically contributing to the overall success of the Development department.

Responsibilities

Donor Stewardship & Engagement:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and volunteers to deepen their connection to the agency
• Ensure prompt and accurate acknowledgement of all gifts within 24 hours and in compliance with IRS requirements
• Manage the donor database and provide reporting and analysis to review progress toward agency’s annual fundraising goals
• Create, manage, and execute the production and distribution of solicitation and stewardship materials.
• Coordinate and implement annual stewardship programs, including the Annual Report, donor impact updates, and community engagement brochure.
• Manages vendor relationships, including direct mail, material content production, and other contracted creative services as needed.

Events

• Play an energetic and public facing role in executing agency events, from managing RSVPs and the check in/out process to securing vendors and supervising volunteers.
• Ensure timely post-event follow-up, including participant appreciation and actionable feedback collection.

Strategic Planning and Institutional Relations

• Create, maintain and update department timelines and calendar.
• Ensure all collateral and publications align with the agency’s established marketing and branding guidelines.
• Providing support to the Office Manager and CEO, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, making follow-up calls and sending follow-up emails for the development team.
• Ensure proper coding of contributions and collaborates with the Office Manager to make necessary corrections.
• Collaborate with the CEO to support outreach to major gift and corporate prospects.

Board of Directors

• Support development team in creating meeting documents for committee and board meetings. Specifically, the monthly development report which includes YTD fundraising progress and grant and donor activity.
• Run frequent reports to gather, analyze, and present timely and accurate recommendations, guided and shaped by data analysis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of non-profit experience
• Exceptional competency with donor management systems including report generation and analysis of donor activity
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Benefits

A candidate with acceptable qualifications could expect to earn $45,000 per year, while a candidate with exceptional qualifications could expect to earn up to $65,000 per year. Our Friends Place currently pays 85% of the average monthly cost for medical insurance coverage. The agency matches up to 3% of employee IRA contributions and training dollars are allotted in the annual budget to grow your expertise in nonprofit development.

After the virtual interview, candidates will be invited to a panel interview with members of the OFP team and finalist will conduct an interview with the CEO.
