    Position Overview: Sterling Community Center (SCC) is seeking a dynamic new team member to play a vital role in our fundraising efforts. The coordinator plays a strong part in the efficiency and effectiveness of the department through donor recognition and stewardship, record keeping, research, prospect management, event support and promotion. This individual is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with technology and learning software tools, and passionate about making a difference in their community.

    Responsibilities:

    • Data Entry and Management: Maintain accurate records of donor contributions, pledges, and event attendance. Coordinate regular updates to the donor database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of donor information.
    • Generate donor recognition correspondence in a timely and accurate manner, and work to make our gratitude consistent, warm, and creative.
    • Annual Campaign Support: Assist in the preparation of annual fundraising efforts including mailing coordination, coordinating board and staff support for solicitation and gratitude campaigns, input on social media planning, and goals progress tracking.
    • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the development department, including scheduling appointments, filing, reports.
    • Donor Research: Conduct research on potential donors, identifying giving history, interests, affiliations, and engagement opportunities.
    • Event Support: Participate in planning and execution of fundraising events including pre-event, post-,and day-of activities.
    • Donor Stewardship: Work with Development Director and Executive Director to cultivate relationships with donors through personalized communications, regular updates, thank-you letters, and acknowledgment gifts.
    • In-Kind Giving Support: Coordinate with the administrative team to track in-Kind giving, provide thank yous, and to record accurate valuation of donated items.
    • Assist in short and long-range strategic planning related to fundraising goals and objectives, including planning for capital campaign, coordination of records and outreach tracking.
    • Collaborate with marketing to update key stakeholder lists for event invitation and media outreach.
    • Represent SCC at business and community meetings, events and outreach opportunities.
    • Other fundraising responsibilities as needed and assigned.

    Qualifications and Attributes:

    • Nonprofit fundraising experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, Google platforms, and experience with fundraising/registration software (e.g., Daxko, Raiser's Edge, DonorPerfect) is preferred.
    • Warm and friendly communication style and strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
    • Strong ability to multitask, remain calm, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational and collaborative skills with excellent planning abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
    • Driven to take initiative toward ongoing improvements and innovation, including personal and professional development.
    • Able to clearly articulate and promote the mission of Sterling Community Center, while building and maintaining positive relationships with; staff, volunteers, board members, participants, funders, media, and all other stakeholders.
    • Mission-driven, team-player who is passionate about working in a bustling and diverse community center environment.
    • Experience and enjoyment working with diverse populations with a customer service orientation; including a wide range of volunteers, interns, executives, donors, and community members and partners.
    • Ability to lift approximately 40 pounds of supplies and load/unload/drive SCC van to community events as needed.
    • Valid Driver’s License and approved background check.
