Job Description: Development Manager
Organization: Construct Center for Affordable Housing
Location: Southern Berkshire County, MA
Position: Development Manager
Employment Type: Full-time (Part-time considered for the right candidate)
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually (depending on experience)

Overview
Construct Center for Affordable Housing seeks an experienced Development Manager to strengthen individual giving and enhance donor engagement. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our enthusiastic board, staff, and community ambassadors to increase investment in our mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Strengthen Individual Giving
- Cultivate relationships with existing donors to enhance engagement and support.
- Identify and prospect for new major donor opportunities.
- Maintain and update the donor database to track contributions and interactions.
- Ensure timely and effective acknowledgment of donations.
- Development Planning
- Collaborate with leadership to create a comprehensive Development Plan, focusing on fundraising and communications.
- Implement the Development Plan in FY 2025, including specific strategies for outreach and engagement.
- Increase Organizational Capacity
- Assess and address the growing need for affordable housing options in the South Berkshires.
- Develop strategies to enhance economic stability for low to moderate-income households.
- Public Perception and Community Engagement
- Work closely with the Communications and Content Manager to promote Construct’s mission, vision, and priorities.
- Strengthen community support through accurate messaging and outreach efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with donor management systems and fundraising software.
- Passion for affordable housing and community development.
Compensation and Benefits
- Full-time or part-time opportunities available for the right candidate.
- Starting salary between $50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience.

Construct provides 40 hours paid sick leave, 80 hours paid vacation and 10 paid holidays as well as employer matched retirementfunds upon employment with increased leave as work tenure continues.
