    Job Description

    The Office of Violence Prevention works through five programs and with an array of partners to accomplish it public health mission. The Program Manager for Violence Prevention Response and Healing Data and Evaluation works with the Community Healing Response Network to collect, organize, and analyze the response and healing data generated by the Network's action. The Program Manager for Violence Prevention Response and Healing Data and Evaluation will also work with the Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) initiative to collect, organize, and analyze the primary prevention data generated by the Initiative's activities.

    DUTIES

    • Working to help BPHC become an antiracist organization by meeting or exceeding the standards set by the BPHC Anti-Racism Policy.
    • Development of data management protocols and data management systems for the Community Healing Response Network and VIP Initiative.
    • Works closely and in partnership with the Community Healing Response Network Senior Program Manager for Incident Response and the VIP Initiative Program Director to collect data and develop data management protocols and data management systems.
    • Provides regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and or as requested) reports for program managers to share with BPHC leadership, Mayor's Office, City Council, and funders.
    • Develops and implements relevant productivity and evaluation measures utilizing an equitable evaluation framework.
    • Reviews program performance in relation to benchmarks, and short and long-term outcomes.
    • Maintains database in accordance with institutional guidelines as needs of programs.
    • Provides general administrative support, which may include, but is not limited to preparing documents.
    • Performs other duties as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Master's degree in public health or related field plus 1+ year of experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of equivalent experience in public health program coordination, management, and/or community-based research; OR 10 years of equivalent experience in public health program coordination, management, and/or community-based research may be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively and provide instruction to non-technical researchers and staff.
    • Ability to aid in presenting a narrative that describes the success, challenges, and opportunities available to advance to objectives of the programs.
    • Able to work with wide, varied, and highly diverse collaborations of organizations.
    • Advanced knowledge & experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel with the ability to analyze and interpret data required.
    • Understanding of both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis is required.
    • Administrative or project management experience.
    • Competent storyteller and listener.
    • Understanding of common public health frameworks.
    • Passionate commitment to health equity and racial/social justice issues.
    • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the role of public health in addressing racism, the social determinants of health, and inequities in health outcomes as well as strategies to advance racial justice and health equity.
    • Understanding of systematic racism and a commitment to address systemic Inequities as they relate to programming, data collection, and evaluation efforts.
    • Ability to work as part of a diverse team, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines required.

    Preferred or Plus

    • 1-3 years of demonstrated formal or informal social justice advocacy experience and/or community organizing/mobilization experience.
    • Experience in violence prevention, trauma response, and/or recovery efforts.
    • Experience with SAS or STATA.
    • Understanding of principles of equitable evaluation.
