Role: PT Business Manager
Location: New London, CT or Remote for highly qualified candidate
Reports to: Executive Director
Qualifications
- Bookkeeper with 3-5 years’ experience
- QuickBooks online expert, certification required
- Must possess a flexible personality, be energetic and a self-starter, passionate about our cause, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Effective written and oral communicator; data-driven
- Excellent organization and time-management skills; attention to detail
- Salesforce.com experience
- Highly recommended - proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Executive/Program Assistant
- High integrity needed to handle confidential information
- Proficiency/certifications in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to anticipate next steps and react to problems by providing support and solutions
Responsibilities
- This is a visible and collaborative role for supporting executive leadership functions with discretion and confidentiality
- Responsible for all bookkeeping, government grant tracking, and all financial reports
- Administrative liaison for backend business relationships (HR PEO, Accountant, etc.)
- Salesforce.com data, process, and reporting expert
- Maintain accurate records for government grant data collection
- Maintain SFDC, financial requests, and reconciliations for program
- Provide administrative assistance, such as writing and editing correspondence and drafts
- Excellent computer skills, including the proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Organizing meetings, including scheduling and travel (once annually)
- Prepare, process, and file request for payment forms and other financial transactions
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled financial reports
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit all expense reports from Advocates
- Special projects; create draft templates, PowerPoints, spreadsheets, agenda material
Compensation: $30 an hour, 20 hours a week (rate negotiable with experience)
