    We are a nonprofit organization that provides legal services, advocacy, community education, and resource navigation to support the needs of Maryland's LGBTQ+ community. As part of our mission, we engage with the community at Pride festivals and other outreach events to ensure LGBTQ+ individuals have access to legal resources, education, and support.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Part-Time Pride Coordinator to support our organization’s presence at Pride festivals and related events during the 2025 Pride season. This seasonal, contractual position is ideal for someone passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, community engagement, and volunteer coordination. The Pride Coordinator reports to the Community Engagement & Development Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate registration and logistics for Pride festivals and outreach events across Maryland and Washington, D.C.
    • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for tabling, outreach, and legal clinic support.
    • Organize and maintain tabling materials, including brochures, promotional items, and legal information.
    • Assist with outreach efforts, including engaging with community members, distributing resources, and facilitating educational activities.
    • Support the planning and execution of legal clinics at Pride events.
    • Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and informative presence at all events.

    Qualifications

    • Passion for LGBTQ+ rights and community engagement.
    • Experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or outreach preferred.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Comfortable engaging with diverse communities in an outreach setting.
    • Reliable transportation is required, as travel to Pride festivals across Maryland and D.C. is necessary. Mileage will be reimbursed.
    • Availability on weekends and evenings as required for Pride events.

    Position Details

    • Hourly Rate: $25 per hour (10-25 hours, depending on need and availability)
    • Hours: Part-time, varies based on event schedule (weekend availability required)
    • Contract Period: April 14, 2025 – July 25, 2025
    • Location: Hybrid/Remote with in-person responsibilities at Pride events across Maryland and Washington, D.C.
    • Reports to: Community Engagement & Development Manager
