    Description

    Job Title: Finance Manager

    Department: Finance Department

    Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

    Status: Exempt

    Job Summary:

The Finance Manager will serve as a key contributor to the success of CAMEO Network’s mission of fostering a thriving ecosystem for underserved entrepreneurs. This role combines strategic financial oversight with hands-on support for CAMEO’s finance, bookkeeping, and HR functions, as well as those of other mission-aligned organizations. By collaborating with internal teams and external partners, the Finance Manager will ensure operational excellence and deliver high-quality training and support, playing an integral role in driving sustainable growth and positive impact within our community.

CAMEO Network is made up of over 400 member organizations, agencies, and individuals dedicated to furthering microbusiness development across the country. A subset of the organizations in the network consists of mission-based CDFI microlenders and small business lenders. We have provided training to emerging and certified CDFIs and mission-based lenders in 49 states and 2 U.S. territories. Annually, CAMEO Network members serve about 200,000 very small businesses with training, business and credit assistance and loans. These firms – largely start-ups with less than five employees – support or create 300,000 new jobs and generate a total of $15 billion in economic activity.

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), working closely with our Fiscal Sponsors, Shared Services Partners, and the Finance Department. As an integral member of the Finance team, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, mission-driven organization experiencing rapid growth. While the position does not include direct reports, it provides the chance to make a significant impact through collaboration and strategic financial leadership. Ideal for an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional, this role also reflects our commitment to fostering a supportive work environment that values work-life balance.
