    What You Will Do:

    As the Manager of Stakeholder Experience, you will be a driving force behind maintaining engagement with our various stakeholder groups including our: students, Regional Advisory board, donors, partners, volunteers, and the community-at-large. You will help support our mission by managing fundraising and programming events to help secure vital funding and recruitment and outreach goals. Reporting directly to the Executive Director initially, your collaboration will be instrumental in fostering enduring donor relationships, executing comprehensive fundraising campaigns, leading recruitment and enrollment, and finding unique ways to engage volunteers. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationships within the college access and success community, event planning experience, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in maintaining stakeholder engagement.

    This role's significance will increase as our regional presence grows. Given that we are establishing ourselves in a new site, the Manager of Stakeholder Experience’s responsibilities will adapt to match the evolving landscape in Detroit. Currently, there is a Program Director that this team member will work very closely with to fulfill the organization’s programmatic goals. At the appointed time, this position will ultimately report to the Program Director. The scope of the role will naturally broaden, offering the Manager the opportunity to leverage their expertise and drive strategic advancements. The successful candidate will be excited to build a robust community of champions to bring critical College Access and Success support to students in the Detroit community.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Stakeholder Strategy and Planning:

    • Collaborate with the Executive Director and full team to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy, which ties in to fundraising, recruitment, and community engagement goals
    • Create and manage a robust fundraising and communications plan, including timelines, targets, and key performance indicators.

    Stakeholder Cultivation and Stewardship:

    • Work closely with the Executive Director to establish a Regional Advisory Board by identifying and engaging potential major donors.
    • Maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other key stakeholders.
    • Help execute personalized cultivation strategies provided by the ED to engage and retain donors, ensuring a high level of donor satisfaction.
    • Position donors, RAB, and volunteers as Relentless Allies and empower them with strength-based narratives, so they can best champion our work in the community
    • Oversee the donor, student, and partner acknowledgement process, including personalized thank-you letters, recognition events, and regular updates on organizational impact.
    • Host and plan student, donor, and partner events at our headquarters and offsite
    • Meet annual organizational goals while building a stronger pipeline for future years.
    • Maintain donor, partner, and student information in Salesforce system
    • Represent Bottom Line at relevant events and engage in public issues that help increase visibility around Bottom Line's mission
    • Manage the headquarters and place-based sites alongside the Program Director

    Grant Management:

    • With Executive Director, continually refine and tailor Bottom Line’s Detroit Case for Support for institutional giving donors and prospects.
    • Ensure all funding proposals and reports are completed correctly and on time in close collaboration with the centralized grants management team.
    • Manage all compliance activities, including grant reporting and documentation.
    • Ensure that all grant information and deliverables are tracked in Salesforce system in alignment with organizational guidance and policies.

    Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without advanced notice.

    Work Schedule:

    Monday - Friday 9 - 5 or 10 - 6 (local time), and flexibility may be requested; Additional hours as needed. This is a hybrid position with in-person and work from home time required.

    Expected Travel:

    Local travel required, approximately 20%

    Who Should Apply:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent
    • Work authorization
    • Demonstrated commitment to Bottom Line’s mission, vision, and core values
    • Minimum 5 years of external relations experience, with a track record of successfully engaging the community around mission-driven projects
    • Entrepreneurial spirit, especially in attracting new stakeholders
    • Polished and authentic presence, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a customer service orientation
    • Excellent organizational skills, with experience working in data-driven and process-driven organizations
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders
    • Demonstrated commitment to Bottom Line’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values

    Preferred:

    • Experience using Salesforce or a similar platform preferred
    • Familiarity with regional educational and nonprofit landscape a plus
