    Position Overview

    Arnold Ventures’ Operational Planning and Data Strategy team (OPD) is an autonomous unit within the larger Arnold Ventures operations team that is responsible for: cross-ops team coordination and communication with the larger organization; project planning and leadership of cross-operations projects; and design of all customizable software tools used for the collection and monitoring of AV partner relationships (i.e., Salesforce, Quorum, SurveyMonkey, DocuSign). In pursuit of these responsibilities, OPD identifies, develops, and implements data collection and operational processes that deliver maximally feasible efficiency, compliance, and usability to Arnold Ventures’ operations teams, programmatic teams, and leadership.

    Reporting to the Director of OPD, the Project Manager will support OPD project and task assessment, planning, and completion, including collaborating across diverse teams to draft and execute on project plans and creating user-friendly documentation, training materials, and templates that simplify complex and technical content for non-technical audiences. The position will be based in our Houston, TX office.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Manage the intake process for cross-team projects and tasks, including assessing need, impact, and alignment with organizational goals
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that succinctly and clearly communicate scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
    • Create user-friendly documentation (templates, guides, training materials), prioritizing usability through design choices, selection of medium, and effective translation of complex information into simple, actionable guidance
    • Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to equip team members with the knowledge and skills needed to follow internal procedures, adhere to organizational policies, and utilize Salesforce and other platforms
    • Design templates and tools to streamline project management and enhance consistency across project documentation and deliverables
    • Gather feedback

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5 years of experience in project management or similar internal operations support function
    • Strong understanding of Salesforce, Microsoft office suite, and their application in project management
    • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Exceptional project manager with extraordinary organization skills and proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex and often data-heavy or technical information into clear, actionable content
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

    The salary range for this position will be $90,000-$120,000.
