    Position Summary

At Motogo, a nonprofit organization, we believe in sparking confidence and inspiring students to build their own futures through building vintage motorcycles. Guided by our mission to teach students confidence and spark learning, our vision of igniting a love for learning, and our core values of Equity, Working with Your Hands, Self-confidence, Authenticity, and Community, the Program Director plays an extremely important role in ensuring these principles resonate in every aspect of our work.

This role requires a leader who embraces our mission with empathy and heart, balancing strategic vision with the day-to-day operations that drive our impact. It will help if you have a healthy balance between loving building relationships with people, and finding joy in math/puzzles.

As a vital member of Motogo’s leadership team (made up of the Executive Director and the Coach Manager), the Program Director will embody our values and align their efforts with the organization’s goals. This person will foster meaningful connections with program partners (schools, nonprofits, community organizations who serve students) and program champions (the point people at these organizations) while leading programs that bring our mission to life. We seek someone who leads with love while being committed to meeting budget goals, possesses a deep passion for education and equity, and thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing start-up environment where strategic thinking and hands-on engagement are equally valued. If you dive in to solve problems before asking for permission, this job is for you.

    Key Responsibilities

In all responsibilities, Motogo seeks an employee who will champion our Mission, Vision, and Values of celebrating failure as a necessary step on the road to mastery. This person will serve as a role model for Equity, Working with Your Hands, Self-confidence, Authenticity, and Community in all interactions and decisions and ensure Motogo’s programs reflect and advance the organization’s commitment to creating safe spaces where students can learn confidence through building motorcycles.

    • Strategic Program Leadership:
      • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to define and achieve program goals, financial benchmarks, and strategic objectives.
      • Develop, implement, and oversee program operations to ensure they are aligned with Motogo’s mission and long-term vision.
      • Manage relationships with program partners, fostering trust and shared commitment to student learning.
    • Sales and Relationship Management:
      • Develop a prospective list of new program partners by making site visits to schools to build relationships with school administrators and community nonprofits serving students who would like to participate in Motogo programs
      • Maintain relationships with current program partners including in-person site visits to schools, community centers, and area nonprofit/corporations
    • Operational Management:
      • Supervise and support the Facilities Director and Data Analyst to maintain smooth program delivery and accurate data reporting.
      • Supervise and support the Coaches to make sure they have what they need to succeed
      • Distribute documents like MOU’s, surveys, coach fingerprints and background checks, and other necessary onboarding documents.
      • Manage the timely payment of invoices.
      • Filter and respond to communications from the website and email, ensuring timely responses and thoughtful replies.
      • Oversee program materials, scheduling, and logistics, ensuring readiness and efficiency for all classes and events.
    • Engagement and Reporting:
      • Compile and present Program Reports at Board Meetings, offering insights on performance, metrics, and opportunities for growth.
      • Support committees and teams with program operational needs, including field trips to our space and corporate team building events
    • Team Collaboration:
      • Partner with the Coach Manager to ensure program coaches have the tools, schedules, and resources needed for success. If Motogo were a school, the Program Director and Coach Manager would be Co-Principals.
      • Provide guidance to interns and program staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for growth.
