    About the Role

    The Executive Administrator provides critical, high-level administrative support to the CDI leadership team and Board. This role is essential in ensuring seamless executive operations and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with exceptional organizational and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to CDI’s mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Executive Support
      • Manage calendars and schedules for the executive team.
      • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for leadership.
      • Provide administrative support for projects and initiatives.
    • Board and Committee Support
      • Interface with the CDI Board, managing schedules and communications.
      • Set up, refine and maintain workflows for effective board management.
      • Prepare and distribute board meeting materials, take minutes, and track follow-up actions.
    • Communication
      • Draft, edit, proofread and manage correspondence, emails, reports, presentations, and other documents.
      • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Project Management
      • Track and monitor key initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met.
      • Support leadership in executing strategic plans and decisions.
    • Meeting and Event Coordination
      • Organize materials and logistics for staff and board meetings.
      • Plan and coordinate events, including invitations, venue arrangements, and follow-up.
    • Data and Document Management
      • Maintain organized systems for records and files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
    • Research and Analysis
      • Conduct research to support the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, and senior leadership in decision-making and strategy development.
      • Compile, analyze, and present findings to inform organizational initiatives and strategic priorities.
      • Stay informed about trends, best practices, and developments relevant to CDI's mission and objectives.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in administrative roles supporting C-level executives or senior leadership, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
    • At least 3 years of experience providing direct support to board members, including managing board processes and communications.
    • Demonstrated expertise in event planning and coordination.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools.

    Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000
