    The Senior Associate, Relationship Marketing is part of a fast-paced Marketing & Media department and will play a role in the planning and execution of relationship marketing plans for the company’s 112-performance annual repertory season, the holiday presentation of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® at Lincoln Center, and digital programming offerings, and will work closely with all members of the department to grow audiences and meet revenue goals.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work with Director, Relationship Marketing in the execution of marketing and promotional activities with a focus on retaining current attendees and cultivating deeper patron relationships
    • Initiate and traffic the production of all relationship marketing print and digital creative assets, ensuring a unified brand presence in the marketplace
    • Maintain thorough understanding of marketing sales policies and subscriber benefits program
    • Coordinate the implementation of the annual relationship marketing email and digital advertising strategy, including copy writing, editorial ideation, digital asset development, and list generation
    • Liaise with digital advertising vendor to set up and implement paid social campaigns
    • Serve as a key department copy writer and proofreader, ensuring consistency of campaign messaging, brand voice, and editorial style guide
    • Log and reconcile relationship marketing expenses against quoted fees to ensure invoice accuracy and process billing for payment
    • Implement sponsor and third-party promotions and offers that are geared towards existing customer retention
    • Coordinate the set-up and testing of promotions including offer details, source and promotion codes, and website landing pages
    • Assist in the tracking and reporting of relationship marketing activity against determined KPIs
    • Coordinate mail fulfillment activity with third party vendor to meet campaign deadlines for sales initiatives
    • Maintain stock and organization of in-house print collateral, keeping theater and Lincoln Center campus distribution points neat and well stocked and patron-facing teams equipped with necessary materials for ticket fulfillment
    • Maintain organized archive files of all team activity and assets
    • Work with department’s digital team as appropriate to ensure the inclusion of marketing messaging on website homepage, programming-related pages, and sales pages, in addition to other digital-related communications
    • Facilitate list management program by fulfilling mail list trade requests, maintaining the list trade log, and managing relationship marketing in-house list requests and usage
    • Assist with administrative duties to support subscription telemarketing/outbound calling efforts
    • Service tour presenters with marketing assets, ensuring informational accuracy and brand alignment
    • Provide support for department research projects
    • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the Company’s ticketing software system (Tessitura), email application (Wordfly), data analytics and list management tool (Data Center), and project management platforms (Airtable and Trello).
    • In conjunction with team director, create a plan for annual tasks to be handled by assistants and interns, and help to oversee their day-to-day activity
    • Perform general administrative duties as needed, including activities such as the ordering of Marketing & Media department office supplies/stationery, the processing of relationship team mail/deliveries, etc.
    • Assist with other departmental initiatives and activities as needed

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years’ work experience, preferably in marketing
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
    • Reliable self-starter with an ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
    • Highly-organized with project management skills and a strong attention to detail
    • Results-oriented and goal-focused
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency with standard business applications, such as MS Office
    • Committed to and enthusiastic about the mission, programs, and services of the performing arts
    • High integrity and ethical standards
    • Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
    • Position often requires lifting/carrying boxes of printed collateral

    Preferred

    • Direct response marketing experience
    • Budget management experience
    • Knowledge of Tessitura and/or Data Center/Audience 360 a plus
    • An affinity/passion/interest in ballet a plus, knowledge of NYCB a real plus

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to:

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time non-exempt position. The hours of work are typically between 10 AM and 6 PM weekdays; additional hours may be required, particularly when Company is in-season.
