    Patriotic Millionaires is seeking a dynamic and strategic Deputy Communications Director specializing in social media to lead and execute our digital presence. This role will involve developing, managing, and analyzing campaigns across a variety of social platforms while creating engaging multimedia content to inspire audiences and advance the mission of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller, a skilled designer, and an adept video creator/editor who balances real-time responsiveness with long-term planning. This a hybrid position with three days in-person (office in Dupont Circle), and the successful candidate will reside in the Washington, DC area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement the organization’s social media strategy across platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, and others as appropriate.
    • Create compelling multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and copy, to align with the organization’s mission and voice.
    • Plan, shoot, and edit engaging videos for use across social media, including short-form content (e.g., reels, TikToks) and longer-form advocacy or educational videos.
    • Manage real-time social media activities, including live tweeting, responding to breaking news, and engaging with followers in a timely and thoughtful manner.
    • Plan and execute long-term digital campaigns to support advocacy goals and increase audience reach.
    • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to design high-quality visual content such as infographics, animations, and video assets.
    • Monitor trends, analytics, and audience behavior to optimize content performance and make data-driven recommendations.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency in messaging and integration of social media efforts within broader organizational strategies.
    • Manage social media accounts, track performance metrics, and create regular reports for internal stakeholders.
    • Bring fresh ideas to enhance engagement and grow our online presence, staying ahead of the curve in digital innovation.

    Qualifications:

    • Four to five years of professional experience in social media management and/or digital communications.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong design, video editing, and content creation skills.
    • Experience in creating and editing engaging videos, both short- and long-form, tailored to social media platforms.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft content tailored to diverse platforms and audiences.
    • Proven track record of managing fast-paced, high-pressure projects and delivering results under tight deadlines.
    • Strong understanding of analytics tools and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Experience in advocacy, political communications, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
    • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for social justice and economic fairness.
    • Knowledge and familiarity with tax and wage issues helpful but not required.
