    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Individual Donor Relations Officer will manage a portfolio of individual donors giving up to $14,999. Responsibilities include acquiring and renewing donors, coordinating annual giving campaigns (including direct mail, telephone, email, and on-site) with members of the Development and Marketing teams, coordinates benefit delivery for individual donors (ex: drink vouchers, parking vouchers, welcome kits, etc), and other development tasks as assigned. This position works directly with members of the Board of Trustees, third party vendors, and DTC artistic, production, and education staff. This is a full-time, exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime.

    This position includes a full benefits package: medical, dental and vision insurance, DTC-paid life insurance, voluntary life insurance and 403b programs. Additionally, this position works Monday through Friday in office at The Wyly Theater

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversee Individual Gifts up to $14,999

    • Create individual goals for each donor in portfolio
    • Create individualized proposals for support at needed
    • Solicit monthly renewals from Patron Perk and Benefactors members through direct mail, email, phone calls, and face-to-face follow up.
    • Acquire new donors through a variety of strategies:
    • Work with the Director of Development to develop and implement direct mail campaigns
    • Work with Box Office Manager and Director of Marketing, Sales, and Communication to develop and incorporate “asks” during the single ticket purchase paths as well as throughout the season ticket campaign
    • Develop and implement on-site efforts (lobby promotions, curtain speeches, etc) for ad-hock giving opportunities
    • Oversee Dallas Theater Center’s participation in North Texas Giving Day and other community fundraising opportunities Donor Benefit Fulfillment • Ensure donor benefits are fulfilled in a timely manner and recorded in Tessitura database, including:
    • Assemble and mail donor welcome packets, including parking and drink vouchers, as appropriate by donor level. General • Assist with annual Centerstage gala logistics, as needed
    • Assist with donor communication, including acknowledgment and thank you letters, renewal letters, and invoices, as necessary.
    • Field inquiries from individual donors within portfolio about tickets, renewals, gifts, acknowledgements, and other gift documentation.
    • Perform work in a manner that is consistent with DTC’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
    • Be an active participant in DTC’s work towards equity, diversity and inclusion and becoming an anti-racist organization.
    • This position requires onsite presence at DTC’s offices Monday through Friday. Scheduling flexibility may be available with prior approval from the supervisor and the Director of EDI & People Operations.
    • Must be available on some nights and weekends, as needed.
    • Other duties as needed or assigned.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

    • Highly detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment as well as independently
    • Self-motivated and able to meet objectives with little to no direct supervision
    • Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive and/or confidential information
    • Knowledge of basic non-profit development principles and practices
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional customer service attitude
    • Self-directed and results oriented with ability to use critical thinking to drive solutions
    • Solid quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Effective time management, proactive planning, and scheduling
    • Possesses professional interpersonal and social skills suitable to working with a variety of staff, major donors, leadership volunteers, speakers/entertainers, and their representatives, as well as vendors/contractors.
    • Ability to handle multiple duties and review all work for accuracy and consistency
    • Excellent communication and writing skills • A self-starter who will take charge of an assignment and ask questions as needed.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Three (3) years or more of non-profit fundraising experience is required
    • Three (3) years or more experience within relational databases
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and GDrive is required
    • Experience in theater, the arts, or non-profit organizations strongly preferred.
