    Descripción

Manager, Operations and Engagement (part time) Ma’alot is a vibrant spiritual Jewish community that transforms lives through music, nature, and Jewish wisdom. With a diverse collective of over 1000 participants from across Atlanta, we host dynamic musical events, experimental Shabbat and holiday celebrations, and embodied rituals in nature. Ma’alot is hiring an Operations & Engagement Manager, with a flexible start date. This is a key position, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of operational, logistical, and administrative aspects of the organization. Working closely with the Rabbi/Executive Director and other team members, the Operations Manager will help manage volunteers, events, partnerships, budget support, communications, and program planning. This part-time, paid role ensures that all activities align with the organization’s mission and goals, with room for growth as the organization continues to evolve. While some in-person presence is required, much of the work can be done remotely, offering flexibility alongside impact.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with non-profits
    • Track record of success in developing and managing operations
    • Demonstrated success in working independently and remotely, combined with strong interpersonal skills as an effective team collaborator.
    • Experience in community development or volunteer management an attractive plus.
    • Familiarity with CRM management software database systems an attractive plus.
    • Reputation for being focused, detail-oriented, engaging and communicative.

This offers a fulfilling opportunity for someone passionate about fostering community, supporting innovative Jewish practices, and managing day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will be: detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to play a lead role in managing day-to-day tasks, activities, and dedicated to supporting our growing community and advancing Ma’alot’s mission.

    Compensation and Benefits

The Operations & Engagement Manager position is a part-time role, offering 20-30 hours per week with an annual total compensation of $30,000 to $52,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We are committed to providing flexibility in the work schedule to support work-life balance, and offer flexible time off as needed.

We are also committed to your professional development and offer access to training opportunities in nonprofit management, community engagement, and Jewish education. This may include stipends or funding for relevant courses, conferences, or certifications. As Ma’alot continues to grow, there is potential for this role to evolve into a full time position with increased responsibilities and a corresponding pay increase. This will be based on performance, organizational growth, and your contributions to the community.

Ma’alot is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages individuals of all backgrounds, including people of color, people with disabilities, and those from historically marginalized groups, to apply. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where diversity is valued and respected. We strive to create a supportive, collaborative, and flexible work environment where you can thrive, grow in your career, and make a meaningful impact within the Ma’alot community.
