Social Media Consultant

RIF Asylum Support is looking for a Social Media Consultant to enhance our use of social media in educating our community about upcoming immigration policies and changes under the new Trump administration.

We aim to make this educational content easy for asylum seekers concerned about new immigration developments.

Position Details:

• Hours: Up to 3 hours per week
• Pay: $20 per hour, paid upon invoice via Zelle
• Location: Candidate must reside in New York, though work will primarily be remote

Responsibilities:

• Utilize social media expertise to help RIF educate its community on immigration policy updates.
• Coach the RIF team on best social media engagement and content creation practices.
• Develop accessible educational materials for asylum seekers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing and growing social media platforms.
• Proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn; knowledge of YouTube is a plus.
• Experience with reel editing, preferably using VEED.
• Interest in immigration issues; prior experience in this field is highly desirable.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
