    POSITION SUMMARY

    The National Training Manager will be a key member of The Programs & Impact team whose purpose is to support quality programming across the STRIVE network, supporting the efforts of STRIVE’s national presence by promoting impactful student recruitment strategies that connect eligible students to available STRIVE programming. This position will assist in supporting STRIVE’s national network and developing staff who help individuals connect to full-time employment and careers through STRIVE’s Five Pillar programs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Program Quality, Fidelity & Support Responsibilities

    • Design and implement training for Employment Specialists and business development program staff using STRIVE's learning management platform, utilizing tools and resources designed for Employment Specialists.
    • Provide onboarding, training and continuous coaching to STRIVE Employment Specialists in managed sites, affiliates and grant funded agencies – virtually and in-person via STRIVE processes and event(s).
    • Execute Community of Practice model end-to-end for Employment Specialists and Business Development team members to support system-wide employment, placement & retention strategies.
    • Oversee the tracking and reporting of business development metrics, including employer partnerships secured, job placements, key employment retention milestones, and case notes/interview referrals.
    • Set baseline performance standards for Employment Specialists across the network.
    • Conduct quarterly performance and progress meetings with employment specialists and business development teams to evaluate performance, address challenges, and set actionable goals.
    • Assist program sites to improve employment placement and retention outcomes, and employer relationships.
    • Lead site specific business development relationship strategy session, including relationship management targets and goals – May require in-person strategy and training/coaching sessions.
    • Collaborate with other organizations and program staff to onboard and orient Employment Specialists.
    • Assist in the onboarding of Employment Specialists to the organization and the role via the implementation of individual training plans.
    • Provide additional support for Employment Specialists who do not meet employment placement standards.
    • Collaborate with Program heads and managers to establish and maintain training metrics and to evaluate the effectiveness of employment placement activities.
    • Offer guidance on the workforce development, employability and professionalism components of the creation of national professional development opportunities.

    Affiliate Membership Support Responsibilities

    • Support affiliates with recurring, scheduled train-the-trainer, and technical training development programs.
    • Conduct regular trainer observations and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
    • Plays mentorship role to training personnel in the STRIVE network, ensuring constant development of their training and facilitation skills.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Ability to interact positively with a variety of personalities and populations and to maintain confidentiality
    • Knowledge of the local labor market and employer requirements
    • Occasional travel, up to 20%, may be required to provide support to STRIVE network sites
    • Knowledge of workforce development best practices with experience in community outreach and engagement
    • Experience in job readiness or workforce development required
    • Must be computer proficient with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Must have excellent administrative, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

    Location: Location: STRIVE locations, including Atlanta, Birmingham, New Orleans operating sites, with the ability to work in office at least 2 times per week. Occasional travel to other STRIVE offices required.
