    Mission Statement

    Our Friends Place (OFP) is dedicated to helping young women breakthe generational cycles of abuse, neglect,poverty and homelessness through empowering self-reliance and independence.

    OFP seeksa dynamic and experienced leader to direct and expandour residential programs for young women experiencing homelessness. The ideal candidate will be a skilled, compassionate, and motivating managerwith a proven track recordof success in this field, and a strong commitment to cultivating the strengths, professional growth, and leadership of all staff. They will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating fairness, respect, and emotional intelligence in all interactions. This individual will be a proactive problem-solver with a positive and supportive attitude, capable of inspiring and motivating their team to achieve shared goals.

    Position Summary

    The Residential Program Director will be responsible for empowering their team through mentorship and guidance, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate services. A deep understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness, coupled with a genuine desire to make a difference, is crucial.

    The Residential Program Director is accountable for the support, development, and supervision of Site Managers, as well as the planning, implementation, and administration of all programcomponents and buildingoperations/maintenance for the Transitional Living Centers.

    The Transitional Living Center Site Mangers and the contractproperty manager report Directly to the position and the Residential Program Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

    Responsibilities

    Support and Supervision of Site Managers

    • Gain a thorough understanding of the Site Manager role to provide effective guidance, mentorship, and ensure consistent 24/7 on-call support for any emergent situations.
    • Develop and implement industry-standard case management procedures, ensuring quality service delivery and effective client outcomes.
    • Schedule Meaningful and intentional Life Skills Classesbased on participants’ needs
    • Implement comprehensive training programs, provide ongoing supervision, and cultivate a positive and productive team environment for residential staff and volunteers.
    • Conduct bi-monthly resident meetings to track progress, gather feedback, and analyze relevant metrics to ensure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Compile comprehensive monthly residential program reports for monitoring and evaluation purposes, providing data-driven insights into program performance.
    • Coordinate aftercare services with external agencies as needed

    Intake Process

    • Oversee and manage the entire intake process for all individuals seeking residential services, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Enhance intake screening procedures incorporating quantitative metrics and goals, emphasizing trauma-informed care.
    • Ensure meticulous documentation and tracking of all intake activities, adhering to established protocols.
    • Perform timely initial resident intake screenings, gathering essential information and assessingeligibility.
    • Schedule and actively coordinate secondary interviews with Site Managers, facilitating thorough candidate evaluation.
    • Guarantee that all residential service candidates receive prompt responses, appropriate referrals, and constructive feedback throughout the intake process.

    Property Management

    • Coordinate externally contracted property managers and vendors to address site maintenance issues and ensure all relevant licenses are up to date
    • Regularly visit sites to report status and monitor operations
    • Maintain and update maintenance priorities, timelines and budgets
    • Serve as staff liaison for the Property committee and Racial Equity committee

    Administrative

    • Oversee invoices, vendor relationships, and manage program budgets, ensuring accurate reporting and financial accountability.
    • Generate comprehensive monthly "Program at a Glance" reports, providing key performance indicators and program updates.
    • Represent the Residential Program in public forums or delegate this responsibility to Residential Site Managers, ensuring consistent and professional representation.
    • Partner with the CEO and Development team to increase annual contributions from individuals, corporations, and community partners, supporting program sustainability.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degreeis required, Master’sdegree in a related field is preferred
    • 3-5 Years Supervisory/Management Experience
    • Experience with case management tools, Apricot preferred
    • Expertise in MicrosoftOffice Suite, with a strongemphasis on Excel,Word, and PowerPoint.

    Essential Qualities

    • Direct experience workingwith adolescents or young women is required,at-risk youth and homeless youth, is preferred
    • Flexibility to attendevents, etc. outsideof normal workinghours as needed
    • Ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and build long-termrelationships
    • Impeccable integrity and sense of personal accountability

    Benefits
