About Us:

Anthos|Home is a groundbreaking startup dedicated to housing vulnerable New Yorkers. We're seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Support Associate to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of those in need of stable housing. Anthos|Home’s Rapid Rehousing Program (RRH) supports homeless youth ages 18-25, providing short-term rental assistance, a range of supportive services, and leveraging Anthos|Home’s network of Property Providers to secure permanent housing.

The Role:

Anthos|Home is seeking an experienced social service professional to serve in the new role of Youth Support Associate. The Youth Support Associate will work in a team reporting to the Rapid Rehousing Supervisor. In this role, the Youth Support Associate will be responsible for working with Participants from intake through aftercare to ensure housing stability after placement. The position will provide support to all Participants, with a focus on employment, education, and financial literacy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement strengths-based financial, educational, and employment plans tailored to participants' needs to promote financial and housing stability.
• Provide support with budgeting, saving, and credit/debt improvement.
• Assist with accessing education, vocational training, financial aid, workforce development, and employment resources.
• Accompany Participants to appointments as needed.
• Monitor Participants' financial and employment status monthly.
• Participate in meetings and case conferencing to ensure collaborative support for participants' stability.
• Maintain accurate and confidential progress notes and correspondence.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate for Youth Support Associate is someone who enjoys working with youth and people of all backgrounds. A bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years of comparable experience working with people in the housing and human service sector is required.

Additional Skills include:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and negotiation skills
• Experience working with workforce training or similar programs preferred
• Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational and record-keeping skills, and good independent judgment
• Experience working with youth a plus
• Proficiency in MS Word, Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Passion for the mission of the organization
• Ability to work in a diverse environment

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting salary $55,000-$57,000 starting salary
• Hybrid work environment (3-5 days in office/field per week)
• Tuesday – Saturday schedule a possibility
