    The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania (LWVPA) is seeking a dedicated and strategic Program Manager or Program Director (title dependent on experience) to lead and strengthen our advocacy and engagement programming. This role is central to advancing our mission of empowering voters and defending democracy across the Commonwealth. The Program Manager/Director will be responsible for developing, managing, implementing, and evaluating statewide program initiatives; coordinating with local Leagues and statewide committees; and supporting communications and development efforts related to programming. This person will work closely with the Executive Director, State Board of Directors, and staff to drive impact through our education, advocacy, and voter engagement work. This is a critical position for someone who is passionate about democracy, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is ready to take a leadership role in building the programmatic capacity of a respected statewide organization.

    Key Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):

    • Statewide program initiatives: Design, manage, and evaluate statewide policy, advocacy, and engagement initiatives (e.g., Lobby Day, State Lobby Corps, leadership and advocacy trainings) in collaboration with the Executive Director, staff, and relevant committees; engage coalition partners and efforts aligned with program areas; identify opportunities for new programmatic initiatives that align with LWVPA’s strategic priorities and mission; support program-related planning and evaluation
    • Development: support the ED and Development Director by identifying funding opportunities inline with program areas; draft/finalize grant proposals; assist with tracking grant spending and reporting; facilitate the logistics of individual and major donor given campaigns, as appropriate and/or consistent with program area(s); support drafting/finalizing the annual report to members and donors
    • League Administration: as needed, assist in supporting local Leagues, including the maintenance of member and supporter databases; assisting Board and staff with internal technology; maintaining accurate internal and external calendars; staffing the LWVPA committees as assigned; and facilitating other Board and Board Committee meetings
    • State League communication: as needed, support the maintenance of the State League website and social media accounts; send emails and action alerts through Action Network; support and contribute content and distribution of a monthly newsletter
    • League Administration: assist Board and Board committees with calendar management, meeting facilitation, note taking, etc., when assigned; liaise with and managing vendors, when appropriate; other administrative tasks

    Location and Time Expectations:

    This position will be remote but based in Pennsylvania, with the expectation for travel to Harrisburg, or other locations, to support State and local League events, and to meet with the Executive Director and other staff. This position is full-time at 40-hours per week, including some evenings and weekends as needed to support programmatic events and initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in public administration, public policy, or related field, preferred
    • Pennsylvania resident; will consider a highly qualified out-of-state applicant, but must be willing to relocate to PA at personal expense within 90-days if hired
    • Ability to work independently, with strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines, including the ability to pivot quickly to address time sensitive needs, while maintaining data/information accuracy and integrity
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including flexibility and patience to address Board and local League members’ questions and concern
    • Experience with program-related grant budgeting or reporting is a plus
    • Additional experience with Bill.com, Canva, and Squarespace, or other website builder, a plus

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience. The salary is also complemented by a competitive benefits and time-off package.
