Position:
Union Capital seeks an experienced and passionate Director of Development to lead and implement our fundraising strategy, focusing on individual and major gifts, corporate partnerships, marketing, and grants management. This role reports directly to the Lead Organizer/Executive Director and collaborates closely with the Board of Directors. The Director of Development will build and execute an annual fundraising plan aimed at developing and sustaining meaningful relationships with donors. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive Union Capital’s growth and expand our support base through compelling communications, effective stewardship, and targeted fundraising initiatives.

Compensation & Practices:
Union Capital has a practice of valuing and paying all of our team members the same salary at their position level. Union Capital’s salary for the Director of Development position is $95,000. Union Capital offers a competitive package including health, 403(b), vacation benefits, and a 5-year Restorative Leave (aka sabbatical) policy. The Director of Development will need to be based in the Boston area. UC has a flexible work schedule and work location, with the ability to work remotely on some days and other days required in the Boston office headquarters. Union Capital values applicants’ time and will provide a $500 stipend for all applicants who participate in the final round, regardless of outcome.
